The incident occurred around 4 p.m. ET when the driver's cab jumped the curb at 6th Avenue and West 34th Street, striking a group of people near the renowned Macy's store.

The New York Police Department (NYPD) confirmed the details and stated that the driver was transported to a hospital and is currently in stable condition. Authorities haven't disclosed the specific nature of the medical episode.
Among the injured, a 9-year-old boy sustained leg lacerations, a 41-year-old woman suffered a head injury, and a 49-year-old woman incurred a leg injury. All three were hospitalized. Three other individuals involved declined further medical attention at the scene.
