Christina Haack opened up about filming her HGTV show, "The Flip Off," without her estranged husband, Josh Hall, after their separation. The show features Haack competing against her ex-husband, Tarek El Moussa, and his wife, Heather Rae El Moussa, in a house-flipping competition.
Haack shared her perspective on why Hall's exit from the show, following their divorce filings last summer, was ultimately beneficial. She noted that Hall wasn't entirely at ease in front of the camera and tended to overthink his performance. This, combined with his limited experience in flipping houses, created a challenging situation. Haack felt that his discomfort could have negatively impacted the show's atmosphere.

Heather Rae El Moussa also weighed in, suggesting that Hall's continued involvement might have created unnecessary tension and conflict on set. She believes the current dynamic among the three remaining participants is more lighthearted and conducive to good television.
Although Haack competed solo after Hall's departure, she enlisted a team of experts to assist her. Both Tarek and Heather felt this actually gave Haack a strategic advantage, allowing her to make independent decisions without negotiation.

Haack emphasized that "The Flip Off" has a different feel compared to "Flip or Flop," which primarily focused on the renovation process. "The Flip Off" delves more into the personal lives and competitive spirit of the participants.
Interestingly, Haack and Heather found they enjoyed working together despite initial uncertainty. They developed a positive rapport, which even led to some lighthearted teasing of Tarek.

Tarek and Haack also discussed their co-parenting approach, highlighting the importance of prioritizing their children's well-being. They believe that putting the kids first allows them to maintain a functional relationship, even amidst past disagreements. Heather echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the shared goal of ensuring their children feel happy, healthy, and supported.

The families even spent Christmas Eve together, demonstrating their commitment to a positive co-parenting environment.
Haack also briefly touched upon her co-parenting relationship with another ex-husband, Ant Anstead, with whom she shares a son. They have reportedly achieved an amicable arrangement and Anstead will even be appearing on "The Flip Off."
In contrast, Haack’s divorce proceedings with Hall appear to be more contentious, involving disputes over finances and property. She anticipates a trial as mediation efforts have been unsuccessful.
