Reporter Faces Online Harassment After Viral Stanley Cup Incident

CBS Miami reporter Samantha Rivera gained significant attention during the Stanley Cup playoffs when she fended off a fan interrupting her live report following the Vegas Golden Knights' Game 2 victory over the Florida Panthers. The Knights ultimately clinched the Stanley Cup in five games, and Rivera was praised for her professionalism in handling the disruption while continuing her broadcast.

However, the viral moment also brought a wave of negativity, with Rivera revealing she received a barrage of hateful messages and comments. She addressed these individuals on social media, questioning their maturity.

ESPN Las Vegas’ Willie Ramirez expressed support for Rivera, condemning the death threats she received and criticizing those who misinterpreted the situation.
