Former President Donald Trump is set to make history by attending Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans this Sunday, becoming the first sitting president to witness the NFL championship game in person. The clash between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles will take place at the Caesars Superdome, with Trump's presence confirmed by multiple sources, including the New York Post, Punchbowl News, the Associated Press, and Fox News Digital.

While Trump's attendance at NFL games was limited during his first term due to disagreements over player protests during the national anthem, he has been more present at sporting events recently, including college football games and a Steelers game last October. His appearance at Super Bowl LIX comes as no surprise, given the public support he received from Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes' wife, Brittany, and mother-in-law, Randi, during his re-election campaign.

In anticipation of the game, Trump gave a pre-taped interview to Fox News Channel's Bret Baier at Mar-a-Lago, which will air during the pre-game show. The Super Bowl broadcast begins at 1 p.m. ET on FOX, with kickoff scheduled for 6:30 p.m. ET. This year marks the first time the Super Bowl will be streamed on Tubi, providing another viewing option for fans.

The Chiefs are aiming for a historic three-peat, seeking to become the first team to win three consecutive Super Bowls. The Eagles, on the other hand, are hoping to spoil their championship aspirations.
