A lucky Cincinnati Bengals fan, sporting an Evan McPherson jersey, became a stadium hero on Sunday by nailing a 40-yard field goal, earning everyone in Paycor Stadium a complimentary slice of pizza.
The fan participated in the Bengals' "Slice the Uprights" challenge, which offers fans the chance to win free pizza by successfully kicking a field goal. A 10-yard kick earns the kicker free pizza for a year, while a 30-yarder scores a free slice for the entire stadium.
The celebratory atmosphere extended beyond the free pizza. The Bengals secured a 24-6 victory over the Cleveland Browns, boosting their playoff hopes. Joe Burrow delivered an impressive performance, completing 23 of 30 passes for 252 yards and three touchdowns. Ja'Marr Chase also shined, making six receptions for 97 yards and a touchdown, surpassing his own franchise record for receiving yards in a season.
Kicker Cade York, filling in for the injured McPherson, also made his mark with a 59-yard field goal in the second quarter, tying the franchise record set by McPherson in 2022.
With their record now at 7-8, the Bengals are set to host the Denver Broncos in their next game.
