A tragic road rage incident in Fort Worth, Texas, claimed the life of 37-year-old Paola Nunez Linares on Monday night. Linares was a passenger in a minivan driven by her husband, Zane Jones, when the incident occurred on East Loop 820 around 9:20 p.m. According to Jones, an altercation with another vehicle, described as a small, dark-colored older model, escalated into gunfire, with shots fired from the other car striking Linares in the head.

Emergency responders transported Linares to JPS Hospital, where she tragically succumbed to her injuries. A heartbroken Jones took to social media to express his grief and seek public assistance in identifying the shooter. He described Linares as his "rock," a devoted teammate at work and home, and a loving stepmother to his two children. He emphasized her dedication to their well-being and her constant efforts to guide them towards becoming good individuals. Jones admitted to having made a gesture towards the other driver, a habit Linares disapproved of, which he believes triggered the shooting. Overwhelmed with grief, Jones expressed his deep love for his wife and the profound loss he feels.

The Hurst Police Department is urging anyone with information about the incident to contact Detective C. Jackson at 817-788-7179 or Crime Stoppers at 817-469-8477 or 469tips.com. To assist with funeral and travel expenses related to returning Linares to Guatemala, Jones has established a GoFundMe page.
