After an impressive 41-season run, Pat Sajak is bidding farewell to "Wheel of Fortune." The iconic game show host shared his excitement for his final season beginning this fall, and the passing of the baton to Ryan Seacrest in September 2024.
The official announcement from "Wheel of Fortune" confirmed Seacrest as Sajak's successor, expressing their enthusiasm for the new era. Seacrest, in a statement, expressed his humility at stepping into such legendary shoes, acknowledging the joy Sajak and Vanna White have brought to television screens for four decades.

Seacrest praised Sajak's ability to make contestants feel comfortable and viewers at home, and looks forward to learning from him during the transition. "Jeopardy!" host Mayim Bialik also reacted to the news, playfully expressing her desire to "creep on Seacrest" from across the stage.

For Seacrest, this new role represents a full-circle moment. He recounted his early career hosting a game show called "Click" for Merv Griffin 25 years ago. He also confirmed that Vanna White will continue her role on the show, ensuring a familiar presence for viewers.

Sajak's departure was announced two weeks prior to Seacrest being named as his replacement. Seacrest, who was mentored by broadcasting icon Dick Clark early in his career, has built an impressive portfolio, hosting and producing several prominent television shows. His net worth is estimated at approximately $450 million.
