NBA icon LeBron James recently achieved a historic milestone, becoming the first player to compete in games during both his teenage years and his 40s. This remarkable feat comes in his record-tying 22nd season, during which he continues to perform at a high level.
While his 23.5 points per game average is the lowest since his rookie season, his contributions in other areas remain significant. His 9 assists and 7.8 rebounds per game exceed his career averages, demonstrating his continued all-around impact on the court.

Although no longer considered the league's top player, James maintains impressive statistics. He has addressed the topic of retirement, suggesting that it won't be due to a decline in his abilities. He believes he could continue playing at a high level for several more years if he chose to, but has indicated he won't pursue that path.
James has firmly stated that once he retires, there will be no comeback. He anticipates missing the game intensely but has no intention of returning after stepping away.

Currently holding a player option worth almost $53 million for the next season, James shared the court with his son, Bronny, earlier this year. This marked the first time a father and son have played together in the NBA, both as active players and teammates.

Among his many accomplishments, the four-time NBA champion also surpassed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's record for all-time minutes played earlier this season.
