Genesis Invitational Relocates Due to Devastating Los Angeles Wildfires

In the wake of the destructive wildfires sweeping through Los Angeles, the PGA Tour has announced a change of venue for the 2025 Genesis Invitational. The tournament, originally slated to be held at the Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, has been forced to relocate due to the area's inclusion in the evacuation zone. The club itself, while thankfully spared from damage, sits within a region significantly impacted by the fires.

The devastating wildfires have claimed over two dozen lives and destroyed more than 12,000 structures, necessitating the tournament's relocation. The PGA Tour has confirmed the event will proceed, albeit at a different location, beginning with preliminary events on February 10th and the main tournament commencing on February 13th. The new venue is expected to be announced soon.

The PGA Tour released a statement emphasizing their concern for the safety and well-being of all those affected by the disaster and expressing gratitude for the relentless efforts of first responders. This decision reflects the gravity of the situation and the priority placed on public safety.
