An Atlanta family's Nashville vacation took a frightening turn when they were robbed while sleeping in their short-term rental. The incident occurred around 2:45 a.m. on a Sunday night in Nashville's Midtown neighborhood. Len Warren, the father, initially dismissed noises downstairs, thinking it was his children who had been playing video games. However, the next morning revealed missing items, including car keys, shoes, and an iPad taken from the room where his 9-year-old daughter slept.
While the family's vehicle remained untouched outside, Warren discovered footprints on the carpeted stairs and steps of the electronically locked rental. Although the property had multiple Ring cameras installed at the front, police initially couldn't access the footage. Warren then contacted a third-party company to retrieve the recordings, who needed to reach out to the rental host first. The method of entry remained a mystery, with no signs of forced entry. Shaken by the experience, the family promptly packed their belongings and sought refuge in a Louisville, Kentucky hotel, approximately three hours away.
