Following her divorce from actor Matthew Lawrence, former "Dancing with the Stars" professional Cheryl Burke is focusing on self-discovery and personal growth. In a candid conversation on iHeartRadio’s "I Do, Part 2" podcast, Burke shared that she's currently prioritizing her own well-being and has no interest in dating.
Burke revealed she hasn't been on a date in over a year and is content with her current lifestyle. "I'm not dating, and I'm choosing not to date," she stated, emphasizing her focus on self-contentment. "I am perfectly content in this home… I never have to leave."

Burke's marriage to Lawrence lasted three years before she filed for divorce in 2022. She reflected on her motivation for marriage at the time, admitting it stemmed from societal pressures and a desire to conform to conventional expectations. Now, she recognizes the importance of self-love and internal fulfillment, stating, "No one is going to fill your cup up… You are. You need to do the internal work."

Burke also discussed her decision to embrace celibacy, a journey she's been on for three years. She explained her tendency to fall in love quickly and how past intimate relationships negatively impacted her self-worth. She's now focusing on building a stronger sense of self and making choices that align with her personal growth.

Burke’s candid reflections offer a powerful message about prioritizing self-love and challenging societal expectations surrounding relationships and marriage.
