Baltimore Mass Shooting: Two Dead, Dozens Injured at Block Party

A devastating shooting incident at a Baltimore block party in the early hours of Sunday morning has left two people dead and at least 28 others injured. The incident occurred around 12:30 a.m. in the Brooklyn Homes area of South Baltimore, according to Acting Baltimore Police Commissioner Rich Worley.

Law enforcement and emergency medical services rushed to the 800 block of Gretna Avenue following reports of multiple shots fired. Of the 30 individuals shot, three remain in critical condition. While a suspect is believed to have opened fire during the gathering, no arrests have been made at this time.

Both emergency responders and individuals transported victims to area hospitals. Mayor Brandon Scott addressed the tragedy, expressing the city's collective grief and condemning the violence as a "reckless, cowardly act." He assured the public that a thorough investigation is underway.

Eyewitnesses recounted hearing between 20 and 30 gunshots, describing a chaotic and terrifying scene. Authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward and assist with the investigation.
