A new reality series featuring Alec and Hilaria Baldwin will soon offer a window into their family life, including the aftermath of the tragic "Rust" shooting. The trailer, released ahead of the show's February 23rd premiere on TLC, depicts both lighthearted family moments and the emotional toll of the incident.
The trailer opens with Hilaria introducing their bustling household of "seven children, six animals, and two parents," followed by scenes of everyday family life. However, the tone shifts as the trailer addresses the "Rust" shooting, with Hilaria acknowledging the profound impact of the tragedy on their family.

The trailer includes poignant moments of Alec Baldwin expressing his reliance on his family and seemingly entering a therapist's office. The children are also shown navigating the intrusion of paparazzi, with Hilaria guiding them to ignore the unwanted attention.

Hilaria emphasizes the strength of their family bond, stating, "We've had our bad moments, but we found our foundation. We're solid and we're here together." In a press release, the Baldwins expressed their hope that viewers will connect with their experiences and the love they share.

TLC President Howard Lee highlighted the platform's commitment to showcasing compelling stories, describing "The Baldwins" as offering "a genuine portrayal beyond the headlines." The first episode, as described by TLC, will focus on the family's summer tradition in East Hampton while acknowledging the backdrop of Alec Baldwin's trial.

The "Rust" shooting, which resulted in the death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and injury to director Joel Souza, occurred in October 2021. Baldwin's involuntary manslaughter charges were dismissed in July 2024 after the judge ruled that evidence had been withheld from the defense. A subsequent appeal by the Santa Fe District Attorney's Office was later withdrawn.

Armorer Hannah Gutierrez Reed was held responsible for loading the live round into the revolver that Baldwin fired.
