CBP Apprehends Fugitive Wanted for Child Sex Crimes at Texas Border

On Sunday, Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers apprehended a 33-year-old fugitive, Jorge Alberto Sausedo, at the Anzalduas International Bridge in Mission, Texas. Sausedo was wanted in Harris County, Texas, for child sex crimes.

CBP officers initially identified Sausedo as a potential match for an outstanding warrant. A subsequent secondary inspection, using biometric verification, confirmed his identity and the active warrant issued by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.

Following his apprehension, Mission police took custody of Sausedo. He is currently held in a local jail awaiting extradition to Harris County to face charges of indecency with a child and sexual abuse of a child, both classified as second-degree felonies in Texas.
