One eyewitness account shared on Facebook claimed the riders were trapped for four hours, and recounted a young girl's plea to prioritize the rescue of an older man who appeared to be struggling.
Crandon Fire Department Captain Brennan Cook informed WJFW-TV that the ride had recently undergone a state inspection. The exact cause of the malfunction remains under investigation. Following the rescue, all eight passengers were transported to a hospital for evaluation. Local reports indicate seven of the individuals were children.
