Following the news of former President Jimmy Carter's passing at the age of 100, tributes and reflections on his life and legacy have poured in from across the political spectrum and around the world.

Former President Donald Trump expressed his condolences on Truth Social, acknowledging the "enormous responsibility" of the presidency and thanking Carter for his service to the nation. He praised Carter's efforts to "improve the lives of all Americans" and offered prayers for the Carter family.
Trump also noted that despite their differing political viewpoints, he recognized Carter's deep love and respect for the United States and its values. He commended Carter's dedication to making America a better place and acknowledged his significant impact even after leaving office.

President Joe Biden mourned the loss of Carter, referring to him as an "extraordinary leader, statesman, and humanitarian." He highlighted Carter's decades-long friendship and the widespread admiration for the former president, noting that millions considered him a "dear friend."
Biden emphasized Carter's commitment to various causes, including eradicating disease, promoting peace and human rights, and advocating for the less fortunate. He described Carter as a man of character, courage, and optimism, and expressed admiration for the enduring partnership between Carter and his wife, Rosalynn.

Vice President Kamala Harris also paid tribute to Carter, calling his life "a testament to the power of service." She highlighted his various roles, including his military service, governorship, and presidency, and noted his continued work through the Carter Center after leaving office. Harris expressed her personal admiration for Carter's kindness, wisdom, and grace, and stated that his legacy would continue to inspire future generations.
