Stefon Diggs' Minicamp Absence Creates Confusion in Buffalo

Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott expressed significant worry on Tuesday regarding Stefon Diggs' absence from the team's mandatory minicamp. However, Diggs' agent, Adisa Bakari, offered a conflicting account of the situation.

McDermott confirmed Diggs' absence to reporters, stating, "Stef is not here. Everyone else is present." He admitted to being "very concerned" about the star wide receiver's decision to skip the mandatory sessions. McDermott declined to elaborate further on the matter.

Bakari's subsequent statement disputed McDermott's account. He expressed confusion over the coach's remarks, claiming Diggs had been at the team facility since Sunday night and was present Tuesday morning. Bakari indicated that ongoing discussions were taking place to address the situation.

The Bills later clarified that while Diggs was indeed at the facility on Monday and Tuesday morning, he departed before Tuesday's practice. This development adds another layer of complexity to the situation.

Diggs, who is entering his fourth season with the Bills, signed a lucrative four-year, $96 million contract extension last summer, which takes effect this season. His performance over the past three seasons has been impressive, with 365 receptions, 4,189 yards, and 29 touchdowns.
