Small Plane Crash in Southern California Leaves One Dead, Three Injured

A single-engine Cessna 172 crashed shortly after takeoff from French Valley Airport in Murrieta, California, on Tuesday afternoon, resulting in one fatality and three injuries. The aircraft, carrying four individuals, went down around 2:45 p.m. local time, landing inverted in a business parking lot approximately 85 miles southeast of downtown Los Angeles.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene and confirmed one fatality. Three other individuals were transported to hospitals, with one reported to have sustained serious injuries. The Riverside County Fire Department provided updates on the situation via Twitter. Both the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) are launching investigations to determine the cause of the crash.
