Senegalese Murder Suspect Apprehended by ICE After Prior Release by Biden Administration

In a recent development highlighting concerns about border security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents arrested Gora Tourie Fall, a 34-year-old Senegalese national, in Philadelphia on December 10th. Fall is wanted for murder in Brazil. This arrest follows a previous apprehension and release of Fall by Border Patrol in Eagle Pass, Texas, in April 2021 under the Biden-Harris administration. Following his initial apprehension, Fall was issued a notice to appear before an immigration judge and subsequently released on parole.

ICE officials were alerted to Fall's outstanding arrest warrant in Brazil in May. He currently remains in ICE custody awaiting removal proceedings. The White House has not yet responded to requests for comment on this matter.

This incident occurs amidst growing concerns about border security and the release of individuals deemed potential security risks into the United States. A House report from August revealed that nearly 100 individuals listed on the terror watchlist have been released into the U.S. under the Biden administration, with these individuals originating from numerous countries.

The House Judiciary Committee report highlighted that of the over 250 individuals on the terrorist watchlist encountered by Border Patrol at the southwest border between fiscal years 2021 and 2023, at least 99 were released into American communities, with at least 34 more remaining in DHS custody but not yet removed. Furthermore, the report indicates that immigration judges granted bond to at least 27 migrants on the watch list who entered the country illegally.

The report also underscores the significant number of migrants encountered by Border Patrol from countries considered potential national security risks, including thousands of individuals from Afghanistan, China, Iran, Syria, and Uzbekistan. This figure doesn't account for the estimated two million "gotaways" since the start of the Biden-Harris administration, further raising security concerns.

Information provided to the committee in June revealed that migrants on the terror watch list encountered by Border Patrol originated from 36 different countries, including several with known active terror presences. The report criticizes the Biden-Harris administration's open-border policies for exacerbating the national security threat. A separate report from October revealed that over 1.7 million migrants encountered at the U.S. border originated from countries considered national security threats, further amplifying these concerns.
