Potential Democratic Candidate Bobby Pulido's Past Social Media Posts Scrutinized

Bobby Pulido, a well-known Tejano musician reportedly being courted by Democrats to run for a Texas congressional seat in 2026, faces scrutiny over past social media activity. A recent Politico report highlighted the party's interest in Pulido as a candidate for Texas' 15th Congressional District, potentially challenging incumbent Republican Rep. Monica De La Cruz. Pulido has indicated his intention to pause his music career to pursue public office.

However, his online history includes racially charged remarks and vulgar attacks directed at former President Donald Trump. In a 2016 exchange on X (formerly Twitter), Pulido responded to the GOP Asian American account with a comment questioning the legitimacy of the Democratic party being targeted by Wikileaks, telling them to "open your Asian eyes." He also repeatedly used profane language in posts criticizing Trump during and after the 2016 election.

In one 2015 post, Pulido responded to a fan asking what to say to people who bullied them for listening to his music by telling them to "tell them I said f--- their race."

These past comments could pose a challenge for Pulido in a state where Trump won by a significant margin in 2020 and made notable gains with Hispanic voters. Pulido has publicly stated his intention to run for office in 2026, citing a lifelong interest in public service. He has not yet specified which office he intends to seek. Fox News Digital reached out to Pulido for comment, but he did not respond.
