In a recent interview with Chuck Todd on "Meet the Press," former Vice President Mike Pence criticized the mainstream media for its extensive coverage of the Russia collusion narrative while simultaneously downplaying the Hunter Biden laptop story. Pence argued that the media’s focus on the now-debunked collusion claims, which he said were amplified for over two years across various networks, was disproportionate and misleading. He also condemned the suppression of the Hunter Biden laptop story during the 2020 election cycle, highlighting that the FBI possessed the laptop and verified its legitimacy at the time.

Pence's comments came in response to questions about the recent indictment of former President Trump regarding classified documents. Todd questioned Pence’s consistency, referencing Pence's past remarks about Hillary Clinton's email server investigation. Pence responded by shifting the focus to what he perceived as media bias, citing the Russia collusion narrative and the Hunter Biden laptop story as prime examples of a “two-tier justice system.” He reiterated his belief that the Russia investigation, as revealed by the Durham Report, should never have been initiated. Pence also pointed to what he considered a “pass” given to Hillary Clinton by the Justice Department during the email server investigation.

While Pence acknowledged the seriousness of the allegations against Trump, he maintained that the former president deserves due process and the opportunity to present his defense in court. He reserved judgment on the matter, emphasizing that “no one is above the law.”
