Zachery Ty Bryan, known for his role on "Home Improvement," has faced multiple legal challenges, including arrests for alleged domestic violence and DUI. In January 2025, Bryan was arrested following a domestic dispute in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, where he was accused of choking and punching a woman. Police reports indicate a third-party caller alerted authorities, describing a violent attack. The woman, reportedly Bryan's partner and mother of his children, sustained visible injuries to her face.

This incident wasn't Bryan's first encounter with the law regarding domestic violence. In 2023, he faced similar charges in Oregon, resulting in a short jail sentence as part of a plea agreement. Bryan's legal woes extend to driving under the influence. He was arrested for DUI in Oklahoma in 2024 after reportedly being found asleep in his vehicle. Dashcam footage captured Bryan apologizing to the arresting officer for his fondness for alcohol. Months prior, he had another DUI arrest in California.

Bryan’s former “Home Improvement” co-star, Tim Allen, has expressed concern and bewilderment regarding Bryan's recent behavior, stating he doesn't understand the changes in Bryan's life. Bryan's career began in childhood, with appearances in commercials and his breakout role as Brad Taylor on "Home Improvement." He later took on roles in series like "Cold Case," "E.R.," "Smallville," and "Veronica Mars" before establishing his own production company. However, his recent legal troubles have overshadowed his past successes.
