A 72-year-old Florida man tragically lost his life in a boating accident on Maine's Kennebec River. Mark Henry, a resident of Fort Pierce, Florida, was operating an airboat with 63-year-old Matthew Sleeper of North Anson, Maine, when the vessel suddenly plunged into the water, ejecting both men. Sleeper managed to swim to shore, but Henry disappeared beneath the surface. A local fire department later recovered Henry's body from the river. The incident occurred Wednesday night. Sleeper, who had been performing maintenance work on the airboat for Henry, had joined him for what was supposed to be a brief ride. Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances that led to the airboat's submersion and Henry's death.
