Dierks Bentley Clarifies Stance on Acting: 'Yellowstone', Yes! Constant Travel, No!

Country music star Dierks Bentley recently set the record straight about his feelings on acting while attending CMA Fest. While he's expressed reluctance to take on Hollywood roles in the past, it's not Los Angeles itself that's the issue, but rather the extensive travel involved.

Bentley, who co-hosted CMA Fest alongside Elle King and Lainey Wilson, clarified his previous statement about turning down acting opportunities. He emphasized his love for Los Angeles and acknowledged his past work there. The real deterrent, he explained, is the frequent travel required for most acting jobs. With a busy music career and a son who plays travel hockey, Bentley's schedule is already packed with cross-country trips.

However, the "Gold" singer expressed his enthusiasm for the hit show "Yellowstone." He jokingly suggested that if fellow country star and "Yellowstone" actress Lainey Wilson invited him to the set, he'd be there in a flash.

Bentley's dedication to his family is also a significant factor in his decision-making. He and his wife, Cassidy Black, have three children. Balancing his music career, family life, and his son's hockey commitments leaves little room for the demands of a typical acting role.

While Bentley seems content focusing on his music and family for now, his "Yellowstone" comment leaves the door open for a potential future appearance on the popular series. Fans can catch Bentley co-hosting the CMA Fest, airing July 19 on ABC.
