A tragic accident at Three Sisters Falls in California's Cleveland National Forest claimed the life of a 48-year-old woman who selflessly tried to rescue a teen from falling. Sarah Louise Crocker was supervising a group of four teenagers on Thursday morning when one of them lost their footing on the waterfall's ledge. In an attempt to prevent the teen from going over, Crocker reached out, but tragically, both fell and sustained serious injuries.

Both Crocker and the teenager, a family friend, landed in the water basin below. Bystanders quickly initiated CPR on Crocker until emergency services arrived, but unfortunately, she could not be revived and was pronounced dead at the scene. The teen survived the fall and was transported by air to a hospital with severe, but thankfully, non-life-threatening injuries.

The San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office determined Crocker's cause of death to be multiple blunt force injuries, particularly to her chest and pelvis, compounded by drowning. The incident has been ruled an accident. Crocker, a California resident, leaves behind a husband and two children. A GoFundMe page has been established to support her family.
