Biden's Lame-Duck Decisions Defy Voters, GOP Must Respond

President Biden's recent actions, from honoring controversial figures to restricting energy exploration, seem to disregard the will of many American voters. His decisions to limit offshore oil and gas drilling, celebrate individuals like George Soros, and commute sentences of convicted murderers have sparked outrage among those who favored a different political direction.

The American public largely voted for increased domestic energy production, stronger border security, and stricter law enforcement. They rejected the policies of leaders like Los Angeles District Attorney George Gascon, who prioritize criminals over citizens. Biden's actions appear to contradict these preferences.

Republicans must hold the president accountable for these decisions. They should demand explanations for his policies, particularly those enacted during his lame-duck period. This includes questioning his rationale behind blocking energy investment, allowing Social Security workers to remain remote, and allocating funds from the Inflation Reduction Act despite the national debt.

Congress has the power to subpoena former presidents, as demonstrated by the January 6 Committee's request for Trump's testimony. While such a move might be controversial, it could deter Biden and his administration from enacting further divisive policies. These actions are solidifying Biden's position as one of the least popular presidents in history.

Critics argue that Biden is not the true decision-maker in the White House. They claim his advisors, driven by partisan agendas, are responsible for policies that favor progressive ideals and reward individuals disliked by conservatives. If this is true, these policies should be challenged, as the American people elected Joe Biden, not his staff.

Recent decisions, such as banning natural-gas water heaters, are likely to harm average Americans while having negligible environmental impact. Other questionable actions include awarding the Presidential Medal of Freedom to Hillary Clinton and George Soros, selling border wall materials at a loss, honoring Liz Cheney with the Presidential Citizens Medal, pardoning Hunter Biden, and allocating leftover funds to hastily conceived projects.

These actions raise serious questions about Biden's judgment and motivations. The GOP must take action to stop this string of controversial decisions and protect the interests of the American people.
