John Capodice, a familiar face on both the big and small screens, passed away on December 30th at the age of 83. His passing was announced by the Pizzi Funeral Home in Northvale, New Jersey. Born in Chicago in 1941, Capodice served in the U.S. Army from 1964 to 1966. He embarked on his acting career in the 1970s, building an impressive resume with recurring roles in a multitude of television series. His credits include appearances in shows like "Ryan’s Hope," "Diagnosis Murder," "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," "Law & Order," "Living Single," "Melrose Place," "Ellen," "Mad About You," "Boy Meets World," and "Will & Grace." His career spanned several decades, with over 150 film and television projects to his name from 1978 to 2024.

Many will remember him for his memorable role in the "Seinfeld" episode "The Revenge," where he played the laundromat owner who Kramer attempted to sabotage, humorously accused of stealing $1,500. His film credits include notable appearances in movies such as "Wall Street," "Family Business," "The Doors," "Speed," "Independence Day," and "Ace Ventura: Pet Detective," where he played a police officer who playfully mocked Jim Carrey's character.

Beyond his acting career, Capodice was a proud member of the Blauvelt Sons of Italy, Rockland Lodge 2176. He leaves behind his wife, Jane, daughters Tessa De Pierro and Cassandra Hansen, and four grandchildren: David, Jake, Frankie, and Giuliana.
