A frantic search is underway for a two-year-old boy who disappeared from his family's front yard in Siletz, Oregon, on Saturday afternoon. Dane Paulsen was last seen playing outside just before 4:30 p.m. The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office reports that Dane is comfortable interacting with strangers and drawn to water, although he is unable to swim. He also has a known fascination with vehicles.

An extensive search effort involving hundreds of individuals, including trained search and rescue teams, law enforcement, and community members, has been mobilized. Divers, drones, K-9 units, and multiple watercraft have been deployed, covering nearly 300 miles in the first 24 hours. Despite these efforts, no trace of the toddler has been found.

An unidentified vehicle observed near the family's home shortly before Dane's disappearance was initially investigated but has since been cleared.
