Security footage captured Beliatskaya arriving at the viewpoint parking lot and proceeding to the rocky area with her yoga mat. Shortly after, she was swept off the rocks by a powerful wave, as witnessed by horrified onlookers. Local authorities were alerted and initiated a search, which was unfortunately hampered by worsening sea conditions. Waves were reported to be reaching heights of up to nine feet.

The search was temporarily suspended due to the dangerous conditions. Sadly, Beliatskaya's body was discovered on Chaweng Noi Beach on Saturday night and identified by her boyfriend. The head of the Samui Rescue Center emphasized the importance of heeding warning systems in place, particularly during the monsoon season. While the incident location was a viewpoint and not designated for swimming, the unexpected wave surge proved fatal.

Authorities have strongly advised visitors to exercise extreme caution during monsoon season and to stay away from rocky coastal areas, especially during periods of high surf.
