Packers Triumph Over Seahawks in Key Matchup

In a pivotal Sunday night showdown, the Green Bay Packers secured a decisive 30-13 victory over the Seattle Seahawks, bolstering their playoff aspirations. The win elevates the Packers to a 10-4 record, keeping them firmly in the wild card hunt. Conversely, the Seahawks' 8-6 record drops them from the top spot in the NFC West, ceding the lead to the Los Angeles Rams based on tiebreaker rules.

The Packers, rebounding from a tough loss to the Detroit Lions the previous week, started strong against Seattle. Running back Josh Jacobs exploited gaps in the Seahawks' defense, accumulating 42 yards and capping the drive with a one-yard touchdown run. Quarterback Jordan Love then connected with Romeo Doubs for a 13-yard touchdown pass, extending Green Bay's early lead.

The Seahawks' offense struggled in the first half, managing only three points. Geno Smith's struggles culminated in a red zone interception by Carrington Valentine. While Seattle's defense improved in the second half, stifling Green Bay's run game, Smith suffered a knee injury and was replaced by former Washington Commanders quarterback Sam Howell.

Despite a late-game surge by the Seahawks, including a 24-yard touchdown run by Zach Charbonnet, the Packers maintained control. Doubs' second touchdown reception, a skillful grab in the end zone, sealed the victory for Green Bay.

Love completed 20 of 27 passes for 229 yards and two touchdowns. Jacobs contributed 94 rushing yards and 42 receiving yards, along with his early touchdown. Jaxon Smith-Njigba led the Seahawks' receivers with 10 catches for 83 yards, while the team's run game struggled, producing only 80 yards.
