Mount Washington in New Hampshire, renowned for its challenging weather, has just experienced its most snowfall-filled June in 91 years of recorded data. Over the weekend, a fresh blanket of snow brought the month's total to an impressive 8.4 inches, as reported by the Mount Washington Observatory.

However, with a shift towards warmer temperatures, the snow had largely melted by Monday morning. The Observatory noted that the typical last snowfall usually happens in early to mid-June. A persistent low-pressure system lingered over the area, bringing snow consistently throughout the month. Looking ahead, with another low-pressure system and cold air anticipated, the total snowfall accumulation could potentially increase further.
The Mount Washington Observatory is located at the peak of the Northeast's highest mountain, standing at 6,288 feet.
