A nationwide search is underway for a man accused of murdering his ex-girlfriend and burying her in a shallow grave in Philadelphia. A $25,000 reward has been offered for information leading to the capture of 29-year-old Geovanni Otero. Supervisory Deputy U.S. Marshal Robert Clark emphasized Otero's extensive criminal history, urging him to surrender to authorities. Clark stressed the danger Otero poses to the public and the commitment of the task force to apprehend him.

The victim, Melody Rivera, disappeared on October 31st following a reported dispute with Otero. Otero, recently released from prison on a firearms charge, reportedly ceased contact with his parole officer after Rivera's disappearance. Her body was discovered last month in Philadelphia’s Fox Chase neighborhood.

Rivera's grieving family, who tirelessly searched for her, described her as a loving and kind individual with an 11-year-old daughter. They expressed their devastation at the manner of her death. Otero, also known as "Gozer," is described as 5'10" tall, weighing 175 pounds, with black hair, brown eyes, and distinctive tattoos on his hands and behind his left ear. His last known address was in the 5800 block of N. Park Avenue in Philadelphia. The U.S. Marshals Service is leading the investigation and pursuit of Otero.
