Kennedy Jr. Claims Biden's Troop Mobilization Signals Potential Ground War with Russia

Presidential hopeful Robert F. Kennedy Jr. recently expressed concerns about President Biden's decision to deploy additional troops to Europe under Operation Atlantic Resolve. Kennedy interprets this move as a potential precursor to a ground war with Russia.

Kennedy's remarks stem from Biden's announcement to activate thousands of reservists to reinforce U.S. forces in Europe as part of the ongoing operation, which began in 2014. He publicly questioned the intent behind this mobilization, suggesting it signifies preparations for a direct conflict with Russia.

The Biden administration clarified that the deployment of reserve troops is intended to ensure the continued effectiveness of Operation Atlantic Resolve within the U.S. European Command's area of responsibility. The mobilization involves approximately 3,000 reservists, with a limited number drawn from the Individual Ready Reserve.

This decision coincides with President Biden's attendance at the NATO summit. Several Republican figures, including Senator Ted Cruz of Texas, have criticized the troop deployment, expressing concerns about potential escalation and the involvement of American military personnel in a conflict with Russia. Senator Mike Lee of Utah echoed these sentiments, suggesting the move could provoke Russia into initiating hostilities.
