ICE Apprehends Numerous Criminal Illegal Immigrants Across Sanctuary Cities

Federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents have conducted a series of operations across the United States, leading to the arrests of numerous illegal immigrants with criminal backgrounds. These operations focused on sanctuary cities, including Philadelphia, Boston, Denver, Washington D.C., and Seattle, demonstrating the agency's commitment to public safety and national security.

Philadelphia

An operation at a North Philadelphia car wash resulted in the apprehension of seven illegal immigrants, six Mexican and one Dominican, following allegations of labor exploitation. Acting Field Office Director Brian McShane emphasized ICE's dedication to upholding immigration laws and protecting communities.

ICE Philadelphia also apprehended Luis Gualdron-Gualdron, a suspected member of the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua, with a criminal record including indecent assault of a minor. Additionally, the agency deported Raymundo Rojas Bacilio, a Mexican national wanted for rape, and Yermanny Suarez Laureano, a Dominican national wanted for homicide.

Boston

Several arrests were made in Boston, a city with policies limiting local law enforcement collaboration with ICE. Among those arrested were Jose Garcia-Salmeron, a Salvadoran national charged with rape; Jean Yves Ovilme, a Haitian national charged with assault and battery and indecent assault; Cesar Augusto Polanco, convicted of murder and serving a life sentence; and Luis Adolfo Guerra-Perez, a Guatemalan MS-13 gang member charged with drug and weapons offenses.

ICE Washington, D.C. arrested Nicolas Alberto Hernandez-Lopez, a Salvadoran national who illegally re-entered the U.S. after being deported and is charged with sexual assault. Acting Field Office Director Patrick Divver reiterated ICE's commitment to removing dangerous individuals from communities.

Denver

ICE Denver apprehended several individuals, including Luz Maria Ramirez-Monreal, a Mexican national charged with child abuse, burglary, strangulation, and kidnapping; Juan Benitez-Ortega, a Mexican national charged with felony assault and kidnapping; and Luis Fernando Melendez-Rivera, a Mexican national wanted for aggravated homicide.

Four individuals with charges or convictions related to sexual assault were arrested by ICE Seattle. Field Office Director Drew Bostock underscored ICE's focus on community protection and preventing further victimization.
