Daniel, who played for various NFL teams including the Saints, Chiefs, Eagles, Bears, Lions, and Chargers from 2010 to 2022, expressed his concern, stating the fires were "much worse than people think." He noted his workplace is approximately six miles from the affected area.

The Los Angeles Fire Department reported that the wildfires remain uncontained, with injuries to both firefighters and civilians. Several fires have erupted across the Los Angeles area, displacing thousands from their homes. These incidents began near a nature preserve northeast of Los Angeles, in Pacific Palisades, and in the San Fernando Valley.
