Following a tragic air ambulance crash in North Philadelphia on Friday night, the Philadelphia Eagles have expressed their condolences to the victims and their families. The Learjet 55, operated by Jet Rescue Air Ambulance, crashed shortly after takeoff from Northeast Philadelphia Airport, resulting in a large explosion and an unconfirmed number of fatalities. The aircraft was en route to Tijuana International Airport, with a planned refueling stop in Springfield, Missouri.

The Eagles organization released a statement sharing their grief and offering support to those affected by the incident. They also commended the first responders for their swift action at the crash site.

Philadelphia fire officials confirmed that the fires ignited by the crash have been brought under control. Former President Donald Trump addressed the tragedy on Truth Social, expressing his sadness and offering prayers for the victims and their families. Vice President JD Vance also shared his condolences on X (formerly Twitter).

This incident follows closely on the heels of a fatal mid-air collision near Reagan National Airport involving an American Airlines plane and an Army Black Hawk helicopter just days earlier.
