An Arizona Department of Public Safety trooper sustained non-life-threatening injuries after being shot in Phoenix on Monday morning. The suspect, who allegedly fired upon Phoenix police officers after they located his vehicle, was later found deceased following a car crash.
The incident began when the trooper was shot with a handgun. After being transported to a hospital, the trooper's injuries were deemed non-life-threatening. Law enforcement then pursued the suspect's vehicle, during which the suspect engaged officers in gunfire. The suspect's vehicle subsequently crashed, and the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
