Arizona State Trooper Shot, Suspect Killed in Phoenix Incident

An Arizona Department of Public Safety trooper sustained non-life-threatening injuries after being shot in Phoenix on Monday morning. The suspect, who allegedly fired upon Phoenix police officers after they located his vehicle, was later found deceased following a car crash.

The incident began when the trooper was shot with a handgun. After being transported to a hospital, the trooper's injuries were deemed non-life-threatening. Law enforcement then pursued the suspect's vehicle, during which the suspect engaged officers in gunfire. The suspect's vehicle subsequently crashed, and the driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting and have not yet released further details.
