The family of a 39-year-old Alabama woman is desperately seeking answers after her disappearance last week. Chastity Ann Terry vanished around 1:30 a.m. on January 10th from a Guin, Alabama interstate exit, according to the Hamilton Police Department. Authorities have indicated that Ms. Terry may have a condition that could affect her judgment.

Police Chief Jordan Carter revealed that Terry was last seen with 49-year-old Charles David Williams Jr. at a Love's truck stop on Interstate 22. She reportedly left the truck stop with Williams, traveling west on I-22. Authorities believe she was in a vehicle later found in a ditch near Exit 22 (County Road 45).

Police announced on Tuesday that the vehicle had been impounded and its driver arrested. Williams was booked into Marion County Jail on January 12th on charges of conspiracy to commit a controlled substance crime. While police have not confirmed a direct link between Williams' arrest and Terry's disappearance, WBMA-LD reported that the two allegedly traveled to Birmingham to purchase drugs.

Terry's family is pleading for public assistance. Her sister, Carrie Galbreath, posted on Facebook, urging anyone with information to come forward. Terry is described as 5'6", 160 lbs., with strawberry blonde hair and hazel eyes. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Sergeant Cody McCullar at the Hamilton Police Department (205-570-5871) or email [email protected].
